ASRock Teases Phantom Gaming Graphics Cards
ASRock Teases Phantom and today confirmed its intentions to produce a graphics card with a teaser video on YouTube (Video Above). Unfortunately for us, there isn’t really much to be seen in the quick shots that are interspersed throughout the 30-second clip. What we can see during this brief teaser, however, is that it appears that the graphics cards will have dual fans.
Right now all we have is a bunch of chopped up images to go on, though it seems that the GPU showcased in the video will utilise a dual-fan heatsink with a single 8-pin PCIe input for power. This power configuration pretty much guarantees that this unit is not an RX Vega 56 or 64 series GPU, making an RX 580 a likely candidate from the Radeon camp.
The brand shown here is Phantom Gaming, which means that this is not a dedicated mining GPU, though it is possible that ASRock could be creating a Nvidia product. With an 8-pin power connection, this could be anything from a GTX 1060 to a GTX 1080.
