Bayonetta And Vanquish 4K Remaster Officially Announced
Platinum Games have officially announced the 10th Anniversary Bundle of Bayonetta and Vanquish for Xbox One. Both will be remastered, with 4K graphics and 60fps available on Xbox One X, and will release on February 18th, 2020. The bundle also includes a SteelBook with new cover art for the games. Physical copies of the bundle come with an embossed steelbook featuring new key art for both video games by artist Dan Dussault. Dussault created the art specifically for the 10th annierversary with supervision by Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya as well as PlatinumGames and Sega, according to the press release announcing the bundle.
If you previously missed out on two of the best action games of the last generation, this bundle is a perfect opportunity to jump in. Bayonetta is a fast-paced third-person action game that mostly revolves around defeating the titular heroine’s angelic foes with an arsenal of weapons, and mystical beasts summoned through her hair. Vanquish, meanwhile, redefined the cover-based third-person shooter, implementing elements from action games and beat ’em ups to create one of the most stylish and exhilarating games around.
The package brings together two of Platinum Games’ very best titles of the previous generation with 4K visuals and a boost in framerate to 60. You’ll be able to purchase them separately or as a bundle on the PlayStation Store for $39.99, and pre-ordering digitally nets you two exclusive themes. Not bad at all considering 2020 is looking rather quiet before the March onslaught.
