Catherine PC Version Available On Steam Today
Catherine is out right now on Steam, and will sport a few extra bells and whistles on PC, such as the Japanese voice-over track, 4K resolution, unlocked frame rate, and customizable keyboard and mouse controls.
It’s been teased for a little while, but we now have confirmation: Catherine is coming to Steam in the form of Catherine Classic. Although “coming” isn’t quite right, because it’s actually out now.
The PC version of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game comes with several upgrades over the console versions, including 4K resolution, customizable controls, and an unlocked frame rate. Catherine Classic also offers a choice between English- and Japanese-language voice acting, a feature not included in the Western console release. The PC version costs $19.99 steam.
Otherwise, the rest of the game should be as you remember it. All three original game modes are included, including the story campaign and both multiplayer modes. Fans may be disappointed that the option to play online isn’t part of the newness of the PC version, but at least Atlus promised that online multiplayer will be in the upcoming Catherine: Full Body remaster.
The PC version fully supports mouse and keyboard controls, including the ability to rebind keys. Catherine Classic’s original Japanese VO is also included, for completionists.
If you buy it within two weeks, Sega will throw in some free content like wallpapers, avatars, and soundtrack samples.
