Cities Skylines Campus Expansion Takes You to School
Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced the next expansion for Cities: Skylines called “Campus.” Campus allows you to construct new area for students like a trade school, liberal arts college, and university. The teams said that, “players will be able to increase the reputation of their campuses by attracting students.” With five types of varsity sports arenas, nine unique faculties, seven new policies, and five new maps, Campus will give you more to do on May 21 for $12.99
Trade School, Liberal Arts, and University district areas will be included in the expansion, increasing a city’s reputation by attracting students and using their Academic Works in order to unlock exclusive new buildings.
Soon enough your city will be filled with cockroach-infested dwellings and thousands of citizens living off noodles and Tesco sandwich deals.
It’s not all books though, as Campus also introduces varsity sports such as American football, basketball, baseball, and track & field, with stadiums for each available to build. Colossal Order is really drilling down to the finer details here, including the ability to manage sports teams, hire coaches, and even customise your team’s jerseys.
You can take a look at some of the major features in Campus below:
- Degrees of Freedom: Design your own campus based on three area types.
- Sports: Bring college sports to your city by building football, basketball, baseball, and swimming arenas.
- Syllabuster: Employ seven new policies including book fairs and for-profit education.
- We Fancy: Display your scientific achievements in museums.
- Cheers: Celebrate with your citizens during graduation ceremonies.
But no Cities DLC is complete without some freebies! In addition to two new radio stations and a new Content Creator Pack , there will be two new library buildings, a new yellow school bus, job titles in the citizen info panel, and new industry policies added to the game in a free update later this month.
Cities: Skylines – Campus is coming to PC and consoles on May 21st, priced at $12.99
