Dirt Rally 2.0 Is Coming To PC And Consoles Next Year
Codemasters has officially revealed DiRT Rally 2.0, a sequel to 2015’s critically acclaimed DiRT Rally, which is set to arrive on both PC (via Steam), Xbox One and PS4 on February 26th, 2019.
The game is set to return the DiRT series to the hardcore roots of the Rally series, where players can drive “knowing that the smallest mistake could end your stage”. DiRT Rally 2.0 will feature eight official WRX tracks from the official World Rallycross Championship, as well as locations from Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia and the USA.
Unlike its predecessor, DiRT Rally 2.0 will release on all platforms simultaneously, unlike the original DiRT Rally, which launched initially on PC to later arrive on Xbox One and PS4.
Players can look forward to six rally locations spread across the globe, including New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia, and the USA. As the official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, it will include eight of the official WorldRX circuits at launch, as well as cars from the 2018 season.
DiRT Rally 2.0 dares you to carve your way through a selection of iconic rally locations from across the globe, in the most powerful off-road vehicles ever made, knowing that the smallest mistake could end your stage.
You will need to rely on your instincts with the most immersive and truly focused off-road experience yet, including a new authentic handling model, tyre choice and surface deformation.
Power your rally car through real-life off-road environments in New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia and the USA, with only your co-driver and instincts to guide you. Race on eight official circuits from the FIA World Rallycross championship, complete with licensed Supercars and support series.
Develop your team and cars around race strategies, and progress through a varied selection of Events and Championships in both a single player Career Campaign and a competitive online environment.
Players who pre-order the game will unlock the Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec. A Deluxe Edition of the game has also been announced, and will grant access to the game four days early, letting you slide into the driver’s seat on Feb. 22. You’ll also get the first two seasons of post-launch DLC, which includes three locations (split over rally and rallycross), and five early vehicle unlocks that will get you the Ford Escort MkII, Lancia Stratos, Subaru Impreza 1995, AUDI Sport quattro S1 E2, and Ford Fiesta OMSE SuperCar Lite.
Upgraded starter cars for My Team, in-game bonuses, and high reward events will also be a part of the Deluxe Edition.
