Cyberpunk 2077 Cover Art And Physical Bonuses Appear To Have Leaked

The first peek at the box art and what could be a special edition for CD Projekt RED’s highly anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077. Vestan claimed that he received the image from a friend via Discord. He also explained that this promotional image is meant to be released in Poland. As such, there are a few small changes to the box art compared to how it would appear in other places around the world. In Poland, Cyberpunk 2077 will be published by CD Projekt RED itself, whereas international publishing will be handled by Warner Bros. Interactive. This is the reason why you will see CDPR’s insignia in the bottom corner instead of Warner Bros.

Apparently, a listing from Polish retailers (the region that CD Projekt RED is based in and will be self-publishing in) leaked early which includes both the cover art as well as some physical bonuses you get from buying the game. It’s since been pulled, but the internet never forgets, and you can see it below:

The cover art seems in line with their previous game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This edition also comes with several physical goodies like a map, a guidebook for Cyberpunk 2020 (the tabletop game this is based on), an art book, postcards and some stickers.

There’s no telling if this is a real product image of a specific edition of Cyberpunk 2077 or not since CD Projekt Red hasn’t revealed anything itself, but the artwork does match up with big banners that have been displayed on-site at E3 ahead of the game’s appearance. If this is real, it could be one of several editions of the game, so it’s unclear which one this particular product may be.

As always with leaks of these nature, we have to file this under rumor, but if it’s fake a lot of work has gone into it, and it’s very much in line with what the company did with The Witcher 3’s initial physical release. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The studio has already referred to this year’s E3 as the most important one yet for the company, and a panel within the E3 Coliseum schedule will have CD Projekt taking the stage to discuss the game and the future of the studio. Assuming all goes as people would hope, we may see that, a trailer, and perhaps even news of a release date.
