Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Getting Free DLC Just Like The Witcher 3
CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature at least some free DLC packs. The news comes from Twitter, where a fan publicly asked the company if Cyberpunk 2077 would include free DLC in the same vein as The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red quickly responded via the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, posting an irrefutably unambiguous “Oh Yeah” Kool-Aid GIF.

Keep in mind this doesn’t mean all Cyberpunk 2077 DLC will be free.
With The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red did give away several pieces of DLC for free but there were also paid expansion DLC. These expansions, namely Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, however, were as big as many full games.
It’s not much of a surprise, but it’s nice confirmation. CD Projekt Red has always made a big deal about post-game support, like the now-famous free Enhanced Editions for both The Witcher and The Witcher 2 owners post-release. At the time of the release of the Witcher 3’s free DLC, CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwiński noted his enthusiasm for the program: “I would really like to see such initiatives become an industry standard rather than an exception to the general rule, and I hope that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has set a good example.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on 19th November 2020
