Geralt From The Witcher 3 Is Coming To Monster Hunter: World
Geralt of Rivia, the titular Witcher from The Witcher trilogy, is a monster hunter extraordinaire. He’s defeated chimeras, wyverns, harpies and other fell beasts aplenty.
Now he’s coming to Monster Hunter: World in yet another Witcher mashup. The last we saw of our white-haired protagonist he was hacking away in The Witcher Geralt Is Coming To Soul Calibur 6. In many ways, Monster Hunter: World is a better fit i think. Check out the trailer below:
The new content/update will be available in early 2019 for free. It releases in spring, months before the newly announced Monster Hunter: World ‘Iceborne’ expansion, which adds a bunch of new content to the game including new areas and monsters but doesn’t land until Autumn 2019. It’s supposed to be a massive expansion, but that’s an awfully long time to wait given this game released this past January.
Monster Hunter: World has been one of the big success stories of 2018, finally bringing the series to home console in the West in a very big way. Geralt’s story may be over, but he keeps popping up all over the place.
Keep in mind that finally, Capcom will offer a six-day trial of Monster Hunter World on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The trial will run from Tuesday, December 11 at 4 PM PST to Monday, December 17 at 3:59 PM PST and will let players participate in three-star or lower quests and undertake online missions up to Hunter Rank 4. The free content doesn’t go very deep into the game, but it should be enough for people who have never played a Monster Hunter title to figure out if World is something they want to buy.
