Ghost Of Tsushima Officially Out On PS4 June 26

PlayStation 4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima comes out 26th June, Sony has announced. To coincide with the release date announcement, developer Sucker Punch released a new story trailer that shows some of the people protagonist Jin Sakai meets during the game. The studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment also released a new story trailer (below) on Thursday that focuses on the game’s protagonist, Jin Sakai, and his mission to protect the people of Tsushima.

Here’s the official synopsis of Ghost of Tsushima’s story:

With Tsushima on the brink of destruction, Jin Sakai must sacrifice everything to defeat the ruthless Mongol invaders and protect what’s left of his home and people. As he embarks on an epic adventure for the freedom of Tsushima, he is forced to set aside samurai traditions and become a new kind of warrior.

Today’s trailer also touches on two other important figures: Jin’s uncle Shimura, the lord of Tsushima and the man who trained Jin as a samurai; and Khotun Khan, the leader of the Mongol army. Sucker Punch also announced multiple editions of Ghost of Tsushima, which range from the $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition and physical Special Edition, to the $169.99 Collector’s Edition, which includes a variety of digital and physical goods. More details on those editions are available at the PlayStation Blog.

With a release date announced, Sony has now set dates for all of its big outstanding exclusives for the PlayStation 4. It has yet to announce a reveal date for the PlayStation 5, which is expected to launch later this year.
