Goosebumps: Dead Of Night Announced For PC, Xbox One, Switch, PS4

Scholastic, Sony Pictures Consumer Products and game company Cosmic Forces have revealed Goosebumps Dead of Night. Inspired by the film series and by R.L. Stine’s best-selling Goosebumps book franchise, this spooky first-person survival horror game is expected to launch this summer on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.

As you can see in the official announcement trailer below, Goosebumps: Dead of Night is a first-person survival horror game, and its premise involves known Goosebumps villain Slappy the Dummy stealing classic pages from the book series, resulting in a horde of monsters setting out to look for you. Expect puzzle solving and the occasional jump-scare, and actor Jack Black, who is no stranger to video games (Brutal Legend), voices RL Stine.

Here is an quick overview of the game:

Suspenseful and Terror-Packed Gameplay:

Slappy has escaped from the pages of Goosebumps and reunited his family of Monsters. It’s up to you to stop Slappy’s dastardly plan to unleash the Goosebumps monsters into our world. To trap Slappy back into his book you’ll have to solve puzzles and outwit the Goosebumps monsters. Can you survive Slappy’s wrath and defeat him?

Escape from Monsters Based on the Bestselling Goosebumps Series:

Hide from monsters summoned from classic Goosebumps tales while exploring and solving puzzles.

Solve Puzzles in Classic Goosebumps Locations:

As you find the missing pages from R.L. Stine’s book, you’ll need to navigate the twisted and overgrown conservatory to confront Dr. Brewer and climb the heights of Tesla’s Tower to stop Slappy’s plans.

Reimagined for consoles and PC, Goosebumps Dead of Night builds on the spooky stealth gameplay of the hit mobile VR game Goosebumps Night of Scares with new enhanced HD Graphics, additional chapters like Dr. Brewer’s twisted Conservatory and the menacing Tesla Tower, an expanded Stine House with more puzzles, five terrifying new monsters with improved AI, and more. The game also features HD Rumble functionality, touchscreen support and gyroscopic controls on Nintendo Switch.
