Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been officially revealed for Xbox One, and it features three modes on Xbox One X.
The game’s developer, Ninja Theory, announced via Twitter and explained that Hellblade’s version on the Xbox One would take advantage of the console’s features including HDR.

“Enhanced Visuals mode offers extra FX and visual quality throughout the experience, High Framerate mode runs the game at 60 frames per second, and High Resolution mode runs the game with dynamic resolutions up to 4K.”
News of Hellblade coming to Xbox One isn’t especially surprising given the game was rated for Xbox One by Taiwan’s Game Software Ratings board earlier this year.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was released to much critical acclaim for PlayStation 4 and PC this past August. Before the end of November, the game had already turned a profit with 500,000 copies sold.
It’s out April 11, and will be Xbox One X-enhanced from day one. Xbox One X owners will have a choice of three modes. The High Resolution mode will prioritise resolution, offering a dynamically scaling 4K.
High Framerate locks the frame-rate to 60fps, and Enhanced Visuals will up the graphical and effects fidelity. Ninja Theory did not share any finer details about each of the three modes, but we’re likely to find out for certain on April 11.
As a thank you to Xbox fans for the wait, the game will be available at 10% off on the Microsoft Store from now and until the end of its launch week. It’s priced modestly, too, at $30/£25.
