Ninja Theory To Donate Sales Of Hellblade To Charity Today.
Developer Ninja Theory will be donating all revenue from today’s sales of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to charity as an effort to raise awareness of mental health.
Tuesday 10th October is World Mental Health Day to UK mental health charity Rethink. and the developer has launched its own website HellBlade Help to help anyone suffering in silence to find help. The site lists various charities and support groups in major countries across the world.
The funds from the sales of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be going to UK-based mental health charity Rethink, which not only attempts to change the lives of those suffering from mental illness but also campaigns for changes in the law regarding mental health.
Ninja Theory launched a new trailer for the game yesterday showcasing player submitted photos, taken using the game’s photo mode. Along with the photos are stories from those players who played the game and have shared their own experiences of mental health issues.
Alongside the announcement of its charitable effort, Ninja Theory released a new Hellblade trailer that showcases some of the hundreds of messages that fans have sent in regarding their own mental health and how the game has affected them. For some, Hellblade has provided an understanding of the difficulties in which those suffer and displayed it in an accessible way for those that don’t.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available for PlayStation 4 and PC, with Steam pricing it at £24.99.
