Rainbow Six Siege New Operator Is Warden Revealed
Another Rainbow Six Siege Operator has been revealed, and this one goes by the name Collinn “Warden” McKinley. A former member of the U.S. Marines who currently serves in the Secret Service, Warden is the second Operator to be revealed for Year 4 Season 2. The Operator has a special pair of glasses that he uses as part of abilities that make him stand apart from other characters, and while we don’t yet know the full extent of their capabilities, Ubisoft said he’ll be able to see things other Operators can’t. In the new trailer, which can be watched below:
Called the Glance Smart Glasses, these optics appear to let Warden see his opponents through the walls. Given how important positioning and the element of surprise is in Rainbow Six: Siege, this could be a very powerful skill. You can see this gadget teased in the reveal teaser that was released earlier today. However, how long the glasses work and if there are any downsides is still unknown.
For the unfamiliar, Nokk specializes in stealth and possess a gadget that allows her to become translucent. But, like the Glance Smart Glasses, Ubisoft Montreal has kept players in the dark. In addition to these two Operators, players will also get to experience a reworked version of the Kafe map. Boasting new layouts, stairs, and a skylight, it will be intriguing to see how players adapt to the new changes.
Ubisoft’s Warden reveal makes him the second character to be announced in the past few days, the first of which was Nøkk. Based on what we know about both of these Operators so far, it looks like previous leaks about the characters and their gadgets were accurate.
From May 18-19, Ubisoft will host the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals in Milan. On May 19, the developer plans on revealing all the new content and in-game changes coming to Siege in the Operation Phantom Sight expansion, including breakdowns of both Nøkk and Warden.
