Respawn Has Multiple Games Scheduled For Release By The End 2019

Respawn Entertainment, the development team behind Titanfall series and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game are working on multiple titles due to release by the next holiday season, EA has revealed in an earnings conference.

EA chief executive Andrew Wilson, the guy behind the ridiculously profitable microtransaction nonsense EA has been putting out in recent years has hailed Respawn Entertainment as one of the reasons why the future of the company looks brighter than ever.

Sweet talking during an EA earnings call, Wilson confirmed Respawn is working on two new titles which they hope to publish by the end of the year. The obvious one would be a new Titanfall game, with the latest installment in the series, Titanfall 2 two years old now.

Details concerning all three games are fairly vague, but Respawn CEO Vince Zampella was able to confirm a few details about Jedi Fallen Order at E3 2018 including that the game is scheduled for 2019’s holiday season. So it’s safe to say that Jedi Fallen Order is one of the games in question, but whether Respawn is also close to finishing its third Titanfall game, the unnamed VR title, or both remains unknown.

For the second one, our money is on the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which was briefly revealed back in July on E3 2018. If your memory doesn’t serve you well, we understand, it wasn’t much of an announcement anyway.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game, following the story of a surviving padawan, set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. EA is probably planning a full reveal for E3 2019 and you can bet they’re going to push this one out for the holiday season.

Additionally, the Respawn team working on the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not the same team that used to work on the Titanfall games so there’s another strong indication that both titles are down in the pipeline for a 2019 release.

Another upcoming Respawn title could be a first-person shooter for VR. The studio announced a partnership with Oculus back in October 2017 with a post on Twitter and they made it clear it’s not a Titanfall VR game.

All things considered, it looks like Respawn Entertainment will have their hands full for the majority of 2019.
