Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Has Officially Gone Gold

With just under a month to spare, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has gone gold, meaning core development is complete and the game is ready to be printed and certified. This is good news, because it means it will ship on time for its November 15, 2019 release date. In the day and age when video game delays are so common, the community will likely be happy to see it release on time.

This title looks to be shaping up nicely and there is certainly a big market ready for a Star Wars single-player campaign experience. Overall, the narrative follows a storyline where players take on the role of a Padawan that survived the Jedi executions. Now you must complete your training in secret and fight back to hopefully bring the Sith down.

It was stated before that Respawn Entertainment was hoping to get the game out by November 15, 2019. Now that looks to be a reality as a Twitter announcement from the developer’s alerts followers that the game has now reached the fabled Gold status. Fans who were hoping to get their hands on a copy of the game can be assured that you’ll get it next month.

The game will feature several planets that the player can elect to travel to via starship. On these worlds unique abilities and upgrades can be found that open up new paths across other planets, making re-traversal an essential part of the gameplay experience.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and according to EA it will not feature any multiplayer modes or microtransactions. Moreover, it will not have any planned DLCs, and will be solely focused on a single-player experience.

For those that are not aware of the Gold status, this is a term used when a game has reached a point where it’s considered complete and ready for discs to be manufactured. This means that there won’t be any delays to prevent the game from launching into the market at the given release date. However, that also doesn’t mean that the developers are still working out some kinks as we’ve seen plenty of titles launch into the market with a day one patch.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to launch on November 15, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
