WWE 2K20 Is Getting Absolutely Torn Apart Online

WWE 2K20 was released today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but the internet is already filled to the brim with videos showing off the various glitches and hilarious oddities affecting 2K’s latest pro wrestling game.

Twitter user MrMacho419 might have captured the best of the lot so far with this farcical match between NXT’s Dakota Kai and superstar Ronda Rousey. The disappearing ladder isn’t ideal but is mostly fine, but then things take a turn for the worse when the steel steps sink into the ring, Rousey becomes entangled in ropes that aren’t meant to move like that, and Kai’s knees bend and move in a way that belongs in an exorcism movie.

The issues with the game appear to be plentiful and range from character models, in-game items, and the ring itself not playing well with one another to the point that things disappear or react unexpectedly. There are also reportedly problems with downloading custom logos players have made and many players are saying that they’re not able to die their wrestlers’ hair.

For a more comprehensive look at the grievances players have against the game so far, one user on Reddit has compiled a list of the main complaints the community seems to hold about WWE 2K20. You can see some of the reactions to the game online in the tweets below as people campaign to have their game improved.

The hashtag #FixWWE2K20 has been trending on Twitter throughout the day, and a user on Reddit has even compiled a list of every glitch discovered so far. It’s a bit of a mess.

This, of course, is the second time 2K has been met with major backlash this year, with NBA 2K20 leading to a similar reaction when it released last month. The game became the second-worst rated game on Steam, with players citing its exploitative use of microtransactions and a number of bugs as the game’s biggest flaws. Two commercially panned games in two months is not a good look for the studio, and hopefully, it will attempt to rectify WWE 2k20’s bugs in an upcoming patch.
